The Allamanda, often called the Golden Trumpet, is a stunning tropical flowering plant loved for its large, trumpet-shaped yellow blooms and glossy green foliage. This plant makes a striking addition to sunny gardens, walls, fences, or trellises. 

Growing Style - Allamanda can be grown as a sprawling shrub or trained as a climbing vine with support. It thrives in poly bags, large pots, or directly in the ground. Ideal for boundary planting, pergolas, or garden fences where it can spread and show off its vibrant blooms.

Watering - Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. During dry or hot periods, increase watering to support flowering and healthy growth. Good drainage is essential, especially in pots.

Fertilizing - Apply a balanced fertilizer in every 3–4 weeks during the growing season. Organic options like compost, cow dung also work well to boost flowering and maintain lush foliage in Sri Lanka’s tropical climate. 

Light & Temperature - Allamanda thrives in full sun, needing at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily for abundant blooms. It loves warm temperatures and high humidity, making it perfectly suited for most parts of Sri Lanka.
