The Christina Plant (Syzygium campanulatum), also known as Red Shoot, is a vibrant ornamental shrub admired for its colourful reddish-orange new leaves that mature into a deep green.
It’s perfect for hedging, borders, or stand-alone landscape highlights. This hardy plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and is well-suited to Sri Lankan gardens and patios. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells.
For best growth, feed with a balanced slow-release fertilizer every 2–3 months. Regular trimming helps maintain its shape and encourages fresh, colourful foliage.
