The Christina Normal Plant is a fast-growing ornamental shrub popular for its vibrant reddish-orange new shoots that gradually turn deep green as they mature. Unlike its variegated or rounded forms, this standard variety features an upright, bushy growth habit that makes it ideal for creating natural hedges, privacy screens, or colourful garden backdrops.
It performs best in full sun, which helps bring out its vivid colours, and thrives in well-drained soil with regular watering.
In Sri Lankan gardens, trimming every few weeks will keep it tidy and encourage colourful new growth. Feed with a general-purpose fertilizer every 6–8 weeks for lush, healthy foliage.
