Growing Style - This compact shrub is ideal for poly bags, decorative pots, or garden beds. It works beautifully as a standalone feature, in mixed borders, or as part of a fragrant garden collection. Its tidy, bushy growth makes it easy to manage and shape. 

Watering - Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Gardenias prefer slightly acidic, well-draining soil. During hot or dry weather, increase watering frequency, especially for potted plants. 

Fertilizing - Apply a balanced or slightly acidic fertilizer in every 3–4 weeks to encourage healthy growth and flowering. Supplement with organic compost, cow dung for better soil conditioning. Iron or magnesium supplements can help enhance leaf colour if needed.

Light & Temperature - Prefers bright indirect light to partial sunlight. Too much direct midday sun can scorch the leaves, so filtered sunlight or morning sun is ideal. Gardenia Variegated thrives in Sri Lanka’s warm, humid climate, especially in slightly sheltered outdoor spaces or bright verandahs.
