Root Balled Magul Karanda Tree
Plant Height - 7 to 9 feet
The Magul Karanda Tree (Pongamia pinnata), also known as the Indian Beech, is a hardy, fast-growing native tree commonly found in Sri Lankan home gardens, roadsides, and reforestation projects.
Known for its broad canopy and glossy green leaves, it provides excellent shade and enriches the soil by fixing nitrogen. Its small, pale pink to purple flowers and seed pods attract birds and pollinators.
Supplied as a root-balled plant, it is ideal for transplanting in large gardens, eco-parks, or along property boundaries. This tree thrives in full sun, tolerates poor soils, and needs minimal maintenance once established.
Regular watering during the early stages and organic fertiliser every 2–3 months will support healthy growth.
