These include nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sulfur (S), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), chlorine (Cl), boron (B), iron (Fe), and molybdenum (Mo).
Poultry litter, especially when composted, can be a valuable fertilizer for a wide range of plants, particularly those that benefit from nitrogen-rich soil. Vegetables like onions, blackcurrants, and plums thrive with poultry litter, as do fruit trees and root vegetables. Flowers, shrubs, and general garden plants can also benefit from the nutrients provided by composted poultry litter.
