The Silvia Plant, also known as Salvia splendens, is a vibrant, upright flowering plant that produces striking spikes of red, purple, or blue blooms against deep green foliage. It's a favourite for adding bold colour to garden beds, walkways, and containers. 

Growing Style - Silvia grows as a compact, upright or short-lived perennial, ideal for poly bags, pots, borders, and mixed flower beds. Its tidy form and vertical flower spikes make it perfect for adding height and colour contrast in landscape designs.

Watering - Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist. Avoid waterlogging by ensuring good drainage, especially in containers. During very dry weather, increase watering frequency to support continuous blooming. 

Fertilizing - Feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced flowering fertilizer to encourage vibrant blooms. You can also apply organic compost, cow dung, to improve soil health and sustain flowering under Sri Lanka’s tropical conditions.

Light & Temperature - Silvia thrives in full sun, requiring at least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight daily. It performs best in warm and humid climates, making it a perfect choice for gardens across Sri Lanka.
