Tecoma Plant in Poly Bag
Plant Height - 2 to 3 feet
Poly Bag Diameter - 8cm
The Tecoma plant is a hardy, fast-growing flowering shrub known for its bright trumpet-shaped blooms in shades of yellow or orange. Its long-lasting flowers and lush green foliage make it a favorite choice for creating colorful garden borders, screens, or hedges.
Growing Style - Tecoma grows as a medium to large shrub and can also be trained as a small tree. It’s perfect for planting in poly bags, large pots, or directly in the ground. Ideal for open gardens, roadside landscaping, or boundary planting due to its bold look and quick growth.
Watering - Water regularly, especially during dry periods. While it can tolerate short droughts once established, consistent watering encourages better flowering. Avoid waterlogging and ensure good drainage.
Fertilizing - Apply a balanced fertilizer in every 3–4 weeks during the growing season. For a more organic approach, use compost, cow dung to boost flowering and foliage health. Adding crushed dried leaves or wood ash occasionally can improve soil fertility.
Light & Temperature - Tecoma thrives in full sun and needs 6–8 hours of sunlight daily for best results. It grows well in Sri Lanka’s tropical climate and is heat-tolerant, making it perfect for outdoor landscapes.
